Façade Restoration, Boiler Room Repair

IMG_0324William Hach & Associates, Inc. (WHA) performed a two-year, exterior and interior concrete repair project at the Lafayette Plaza Housing Cooperative in Chicago, Illinois.  The combined Contract amount exceeded 2.5 million dollars.

WHA performed comprehensive concrete repairs to the exterior high-rise façade, removed and replaced 100 percent of the perimeter window sealant, and coated (painted) the façade.

WHA performed extensive interior concrete repairs to the concrete columns and concrete slabs – including the design, fabrication, and installation of a stainless steel clip anchorage system to secure the exterior precast façade panels.  The interior repairs required daily communication and scheduling with the building’s management to gain access to the interior units.  All work was performed without vacating the units, reducing both resident inconvenience and financial impact on the cooperative.

Finally, WHA performed extensive shoring, structural concrete slab repairs, and installation of a waterproofing membrane system to the Lafayette Plaza Housing Cooperative’s top floor boiler room.  The building’s hot water supply remained uninterrupted during WHA’s boiler room repairs.
